Compression clothing for children are usually made with spandex and nylon. Sensory compression clothing applies a light pressure to the child's body which helps them to feel calm and regulated. Sensory compression clothing can help children feel comfortable, secure and they are able to better focus.

Sensory compression clothing help children regulate their sensory system. Children who struggle with sensory processing disorder often struggle with regulating their responses to sensory input and it causes them over or under-stimulation. Compression clothing can help children with proprioception input too.

Sensory compression clothing for children can reduce their anxiety and sensory meltdowns. Children with sensory processing disorder become easily overwhelmed by sensory input and anxious in different situations which can cause sensory overload and meltdowns. The gentle pressure from compression clothing can give a child a sense of security and comfort that helps to calm them and prevent their sensory meltdowns.

Children who have sensory processing disorder struggle with overstimulation or under stimulation that causes anxiety, sensory overload, sensory meltdowns and irritability. Compression clothing are a great sensory tool for managing sensory processing disorder.

Children will feel pressure from the compression clothing that can help them know where their body is in space. A lot of children who have sensory issues struggle with tactile sensitivities so compression clothing can be life changing for them because sensory compression clothing should have flat seams and be made with smooth fabric.

Compression clothing is not only beneficial for children with sensory processing disorder but also for children with other sensory challenges like autism, ADHD and anxiety too. Many parents have only positive reviews about their child after they were wearing compression clothing.

Compression clothing should not be used as the only tool to help a child who is struggling with sensory processing differences because it works better when used with other therapies and strategies recommended by your child's occupational therapist. It is also important to find the right fit for your child because too much pressure can be uncomfortable and not work properly.

Over the last several years I have noticed there are so many options available now for kids who have sensory processing difficulties. There are options with many small businesses and large companies who sell compression clothing for children that are stylish. Several years ago there was only a few options available for kids but now you can buy compression leggings, shorts, shirts and more.

Sensory compression clothes can be a very helpful sensory tool for children with sensory processing differences. They can help children regulate themselves and reduce their anxiety.

Compression clothing for children like shirts, shorts and leggings provides light pressure to a child's body that helps them regulate. This pressure gives a child a calming type of effect which makes them feel grounded. Children may feel a reduced amount of anxiety, improve their focus and better emotional regulation.

Proprioception is how the body senses its position and movement in space. Compression clothing provides proprioceptive input that can help a child with sensory processing disorder know where their body's position and movement is in space. When a child has increased awareness that can help them with coordination, balance and their gross motor skills.

Children with sensory processing disorder experience sensory overload and that causes them to have sensory meltdowns. Compression clothing provides a consistent and calming pressure to their body that helps the child feel calm and less overwhelmed.

Many children who have sensory challenges struggle with attention and focus because they are overwhelmed by the sensory input around them. Compression clothing can help a child to improve their focus and attention because it is calming and reduces distractions.

Compression clothing is designed to be comfortable and not restrictive to help children be able to move freely. This increased comfort can boost a child's self-esteem and confidence. Sleep difficulties are common for children who have sensory processing disorder. Compression clothing can help improve sleep because they are calming, soothing and reduces anxiety. Compression clothing are available in various styles and colors for a child's preferences and needs. Sensory compression clothing are discreet and children can wear without anyone knowing.
